We would like to congratulate Logan Hart on her completion of the Peace Officer Basic Training at the Greene County Career Center. Once Logan is certified by the State of Ohio, she will be sworn in as an Officer. We are excited to have her join the XPD family.

The County is moving forward with the demolition of the former jail facility as part of a County-led project and an important step in the County’s continued investment in downtown Xenia.

This project is funded through a State development grant and will prepare the site for future use and long-term community benefit.

🚦 Traffic notice:
Whiteman St. between E. Market St. and E. Main St. will be closed starting today and will remain closed for the duration of the project.

What to expect next:
Staging: This Friday through next week
Fencing will be installed, and equipment will begin arriving on site.

Abatement: Late February through early March
Crews will prepare the buildings and continue site readiness for demolition.

Demolition: Early March
📅 Project activity is expected to continue through May.
