Because a portion of the debt for the new facility involves enterprise funds, are my rates going to increase?
Yes. We have estimated that the typical customer will see his/her yearly water and sewer billings increase by $20-$25. Regardless of whether or not the project goes forward, it is anticipated by city staff that there would need to be a modest increase in rates anyway to cover the costs associated with responsive capital improvement plans needed to address critical water and sewer infrastructure deficiencies.
