It's about bringing healthy affordable food to food insecure residents in and around our downtown. In as much as Xenia desperately needs a small urban grocer downtown, the prospects of it happening...

It's about bringing healthy affordable food to food insecure residents in and around our downtown. In as much as Xenia desperately needs a small urban grocer downtown, the prospects of it happening are fading. So in my search for possible solutions, the possibility of a Community Garden gets the most positive response. As the name infers (community) is what it takes to make something like this happen, the benefits are many and so are the challenges. Xenia's approximate population is 25,000 which means 25,000 opportunities to make a difference in Xenia's Food Desert, were talking families, children, teachers, farmers, gardeners, caring residents contributing time and talents to Feed Xenia. Please chime in if interested in helping organize such and effort. So here is another opportunity for Xenia to come together and not only fellowship but to learn and bring needed food and fun to Xenia and it's food challenged individuals and families...Feed Xenia!
