'Tis the season for fun and festivities as we kick off the holidays in Xenia at The Christmas Station event. This is the third year for the expanded Christmas celebration, which will take place on Friday, December 1, from 4 p.m. - 9 p.m., and we hope you, your family, and your friends will join us to celebrate.
The Christmas Station is headquartered at Xenia Station (150 S. Miami Avenue) and extends into downtown with several "stops" along the way. At the station, families can enjoy a visit with Santa, hands-on holiday crafts, and live performances from the Xenia High School Ensemble Choir and Xenia High School Jazz Band.
From the station visitors can walk along the lit pathway toward downtown and to the Eavey Plaza where more holiday fun will await.
A horse and carriage team will also be giving free rides from downtown to Shawnee Park and back for families to enjoy the iconic Xenia Lights show. While downtown, there will be a variety of food trucks to choose from while you get a start on your holiday shopping with our local businesses.
We've also been told from the North Pole that the elves are once again returning that evening for the Elf on the Shelf scavenger hunt through downtown.
Streets will not be closed for this event, there will be parking availability at all downtown public lots (pictured below) and at Xenia Station.
