Neighborhood Night Out is a community outreach and information event series designed to take local government and community organizations directly to Xenia neighborhoods. In addition to essentially taking City Hall “to the streets,” with City of Xenia administrative representatives, the Xenia Police Division, Xenia Fire Division, and other city personnel, various community organizations also participate. Neighborhood Night Out partners include Xenia Community Schools, OhioMeansJobs-Greene County, Central State University, The National Parks Service and the Charles Young Buffalo Soldier Home National Monument, Greene County Public Health and Greene County Jobs and Family Services. The events are scheduled May through September and are held outdoors.
A free boxed dinner from One Bistro is provided, music, fun for kids, information and resources from in and around the city, police cars and fire trucks, community engagement, and most importantly, fun!
While these are kid-friendly events, they're not just for the kids. Residents and visitors of all ages are encouraged to come enjoy the events and engage in the community!
The next Neighborhood Night Out event will be held on Tuesday, September 19, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Arrowood Elementary.
