The City of Xenia is pleased to announce a significant rate reduction for permit parking spaces in its five downtown municipal lots. The rate reduction goes into effect February 1, 2022 and permits will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

Parking Lot Permit Fees

Beginning February 1, 2022:
  • Lots 2, 3 and 4: $15.00 per quarter(3-month period) or $60 per year
  • Lots 7 and 8: $30.00 per quarter(3-month period) or $120 per year

Permit Limitations

Due to high demand for short-term parking, the City limits the number of permits in some lots as follows:
  • Lot 2: No Restrictions
  • Lot 3: No Restrictions
  • Lot 4: No Restrictions
  • Lot 7 : 8 Permits
  • Lot 8: 8 Permits

Parking permits are only valid for the lot that is assigned at the time of purchase and cannot be used for other lots or on street parking. Permits must also be displayed in a visible location inside the vehicle. It is important to note that parking permits are not a guaranteed or reserved parking space in the lot, spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to reducing the cost of long-term parking, Xenia Police Division will increase enforcement of the already established 3-hour parking limit in the City's municipal lots. The City wants to make sure parking is accessible for all who wish to visit downtown, and closely monitoring established parking limits allows more access to all.

If you are interested in purchasing a parking permit, you can call the City of Xenia at (937) 376-7232, or visit the front desk at the City Administration Building (107 E. Main Street). Parking permit holders should contact the Parking Enforcement Officer at (937) 376-7215 to report any violations.
