Community policing is a philosophy that promotes organizational strategies that support the systematic use of partnerships and problem-solving techniques to proactively address the immediate conditions that give rise to public safety issues such as crime, social disorder, and fear of crime. The Xenia Police Division is committed to working with our community partners in an effort to prevent crime and improve the quality of life in our community.
The Police Division uses several programs to accomplish this goal. In our Educational Outreach Programs we present information that we feel is of importance to the community - Stop The Bleed and Surviving an Active Shooter are two of these programs. Our Citizen’s Police Academy is a fun way to learn about the different aspects of police work and how they apply to the Xenia Police Division. Neighborhood Watch Groups are one of the best ways for a concerned citizen to get involved in preventing crime in their neighborhoods.
