Program Overview

Immersive, hands-on learning opportunity exploring how the City of Xenia really works!

Topics:

• Session 1: City Governance Structure - An Introduction to Municipal Government in Xenia
• Session 2: Budget and Finance - An Overview of Local Government Finance, Budgeting, and Stewardship
• Session 3: Economic Development, Planning & Zoning – A Review of Economic Development & Planning Services 
• Session 4: Field Trip to Public Service- An Introduction to Public Service & Utilities
• Session 5: Field Trip to Police Division & Dispatch - An Up-Close Look at Police and 911/ Dispatch 
• Session 6: Field Trip to Fire Division - A Hands-On Experience with EMS, Fire & Emergency Preparedness

Participants are strongly encouraged to attend all 6 sessions, as sessions build upon each other.
