Kenneth Riggsby

Chief Riggsby is a 30+ year veteran of the fire service.
Fire Service Career
Chief Riggsby started his career at Xenia Township Fire Department. After two years of being a volunteer firefighter, he began his tenure with the Xenia Fire Division.
He has held the positions of Firefighter/Paramedic, Lieutenant, Captain, and Deputy Fire Chief prior to being appointed Fire Chief in September 2011.
In addition to his duties as Fire Chief, he is a systems administrator for the records management system and computer aided dispatch for Greene County. He has been trained in the management of the system that we currently utilize and conducts fire training for our dispatchers along with maintaining response areas and trucks in the CAD. Chief Riggsby has also completed numerous courses at the National Fire Academy.
Personal Life
Chief Riggsby resides in Xenia with his wife Cheryl. They have 2 children and 2 granddaughters.

Chief Bogan has been serving the Xenia community for twenty-two years.
Fire Service Career
Chief Bogan began his career as a Volunteer Firefighter with Spring Valley Township in 1990. He then served in the United States Marine Corps from 1990 to 1994. Upon his honorable discharge in 1994 he returned to Spring Valley and was hired full time in 1996, rising to the rank of Fire Chief during his tenure.
He began his career with the City of Xenia as A Firefighter/Paramedic on August 22, 1999. He was promoted to Fire Lieutenant in November of 2009, and to Captain in February of 2019. Chief Bogan has an Associate's Degree in Fire Administration from Sinclair Community College. He is also a multi-class alumni of both the Ohio Fire Academy and the National Fire Academy.
Chief Bogan oversees the day-to-day operations of the division. He coordinates the operations of the three shift commanders and their areas of responsibilities. He is also responsible for managing the division's fleet maintenance. Chief Bogan serves as a system administrator for the county's CAD system and serves on the advisory committee for Tyler Technologies fire records system.
He is certified as a Fire Instructor and Emergency Vehicle Operator Instructor. He is a member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs, International Society of Fire Service Instructors, and the Ohio Fire Chief's Association.
Personal Life Chief Bogan currently resides in Xenia Township with his wife Beth. They have 4 children.
Jeff Bruggeman

Captain Bruggeman has been serving the Xenia community over 27 years.
Fire Service Career
Captain Bruggeman began his career as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Xenia on October 11, 1992. He was promoted to Fire Lieutenant in June of 2003, and to Captain in January 2015. He previously served in the U.S. Air Force, from June 1986 to January 1992, as a Crash Fire Rescue Specialist.
Captain Bruggeman has an Associate Degree in Fire/EMS Technology. He has also been to the National Fire Academy over 13 times for career advancement courses. He is in charge of Emergency Medical Services. His area of responsibility includes all aspects of emergency medical care delivery, rescue task force, tactical paramedics and ems training. He sits on the Greater Miami Valley EMS Council, the Regional Protocol Committee, and the GMVEMSC Educational Committee.
He previously was on faculty at Sinclair Community College, has presented at several national and state-level conferences, and has taught Fire/EMS independently since 1994. He is certified as a Fire Instructor and EMS Instructor. He also teaches Incident Management courses for Ohio EMA. He is a member of the National Association of EMTs, National Association of EMS Educators, and Ohio Association of Emergency Medical Services.

Jeff currently resides in Oakwood with his wife. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren.
Gregory Beegle

Captain Beegle has been in the fire service since 1992. Greg is a second-generation employee of the Fire Division, following in his father Paul's footsteps, who was employed from 1973-1988.
Fire Service Career
Greg has served on numerous committees within the Division including the EMS committee, Fire committee, and serving as a Field Training Officer. He has also managed the CPR training program for over 10 years. Greg was appointed as a Lieutenant in September 2017 and Captain in March of 2021.
Greg's education includes receiving Associates Degrees in Accounting and Fire Administration from Sinclair Community College. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Financial Management from Capital University in 1997, and received his Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Management with Fire Executive Concentration from Waldorf University in 2019. He is also a Registered Nurse.

Travis Dill

Captain Dill has been in the fire service since 1999, following in his parents footsteps who were volunteers during his childhood.
Fire Service Career
Captain Dill started his fire service career as a volunteer in Clinton County. During this time, he was attending Hocking College, working to obtain his Associates Degree in Fire Science. After graduation, he was hired by the Xenia Fire Division in September of 2001. Over his career, he has served on various committees. Travis was promoted to Lieutenant in February of 2019 and Captain in June of 2022. Currently he serves as the Captain that oversees fire operations. He also manages the Fire Divisions Uniform and Fire Gear programs.

Mike Blakesly

Fire Service Career
Fire Inspector Blakesly is a 39-year veteran of the fire service (10 years as a volunteer).
Blakesly started his career at Butler Township Fire Department. He comes to Xenia as a part-time fire inspector after retiring from Butler Township as a Captain and former Fire Marshal. Inspector Blakesly has been certified as Fire Fighter / Paramedic / Fire Safety Inspector / CE instructor and was additionally trained as a Fire Safety Educator. He also has extensive experience in Fire Investigation. Mike has an Associate's degree in Fire Science Administration.
