The City of Xenia utilizes the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) for collection of municipal income tax.

For detailed information about the City's income tax please click here.  The following are some highlights of the City's tax ordinance.  

The City's tax rate is 2.25%

The City will credit up to 1.5% paid to other municipalities

Individuals under the age of 16 are exempt from the tax

Individuals over 65 years of age with no earned income are not required to file


RITA began collecting on behalf of the City in September of 2020.  A letter was sent to notify Xenia residents of the change.  To view the letter please click here

The City of Xenia does not collect or administer Xenia City School Taxes. School taxes are collected and administered by the State of Ohio.
