Community Garden

If you love gardening but lack the space to do it at your home, the City of Xenia has just the solution for you! Every year, we will have garden plots available for rental. The plots are located at Lexington Park. The dimensions are 20-foot by 30-foot and the rental fee is $20 per lot for the season. Once your agreement and payment are received, you may choose your plot and prepare for the season. Now, you can enjoy gardening organic produce in the company of fellow gardeners.

The plots are available for use from mid-April through October 31st.

Rules

All gardening must be organic and chemical free in nature. Fertilizer and weed killers are not permitted. At the end of the season, renters must remove all materials (tomato cages, stakes, etc.) as the plots will be plowed at that time in preparation for next season.

Note: Please, no parking on the grass or the bike trail.

Reserve Your Garden Space

If you are interested in raising your own garden this summer, please call the City’s Reception Desk at 937-376-7232 to find out how to reserve your plot!

Share Your Produce

If gardeners find they have an excess of produce, we ask that you consider donating to an area Food Bank.
